Adam Zhang

Yu Zhang (Adam) holds a Master's degree in Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China.

Adam brings more than 30 years of international experience across multinational organisations within the automotive industry, including leading Tier 1 suppliers to major OEMs such as Magneti Marelli, Eaton, ArvinMeritor and Webasto. Throughout his career, he has focused on driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, delivering high-growth outcomes and achieving significant cost savings.

Prior to joining Mancala, Adam served as Procurement Director APAC for Johnson Controls Inc. During his ten-year tenure, he played a key role in the development of two greenfield battery manufacturing facilities, representing an investment of approximately USD $500 million. These projects significantly expanded the company's manufacturing capability and helped increase its market share across the Asia-Pacific region to approximately 60%.

Since assuming the role of CEO at Mancala, Adam has set a clear vision for the company's next phase of growth. His strategy focuses on investing in people, expanding equipment capability, securing large-scale contract mining and EPC/GC opportunities across Australia and international markets, and continuously improving operational excellence and cost control to maximise value for clients.

While pursuing growth, Mancala remains committed to its established strengths in specialised mining services, civil works and raiseboring. Under Adam's leadership, the company aims to become a Tier 1 mining contractor within the next five years.
